Physical

Looking after your body is important for keeping your heart strong, muscles supple and energy levels up. Going for a jog or walk will make you feel refreshed as you breathe in fresh air, the varying terrain will help you challenge yourself and if your route is rather picturesque you can enjoy the view. But being outside isn’t just about exercise, 5 to 10 minutes of being outside 2 to 3 times a week will provide you with enough vitamin D to absorb calcium and make your bones strong as well as facilitate a healthy immune system.

Well-being

If you’re looking for an effective way of relieving stress and clearing your mind, going for a walk or sitting outside is one of the easiest ways of improving your well-being. Simply being in green spaces can have a calming effect and improve your mood - watching nature and wildlife can help you rationalise your thoughts in a therapeutic way.
